Dilek Mayatürk, geboren 1986 in Istanbul, studierte in ihrer Heimatstadt und in Klagenfurt Soziologie. Als Dokumentarfilmerin und Autorin arbeitete sie für unterschiedliche Medien. 2014 erschien ihr Gedichtband „Cesaret Koleksiyonu“ (Yeniinsan Verlag), 2020 „Brache“ (Hanser Berlin) und 2021 „Bir Daha Yok Çiçeği“ (Klaros Verlag). Dilek Mayatürks zweisprachiges literarisches Werk wurde mit Literaturstipendien des Berliner Kultursenats (2022), dem Schloss Wiepersdorf (2024), dem Künstlerhaus Edenkoben (2022), der Kulturakademie Tarabya (2023/2024) und der Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung (2023) ausgezeichnet. Zudem erhielt sie die Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı Honourable Mention (2010), den Gürhan Uçkan Poetry Award (2015) und den dritten Platz des Kemal Özer Poetry Awards (2021). Sie denkt, schreibt und übersetzt Poesie in zwei Sprachen. Sie lebt in Berlin.

Vocations – open space 2024 organises four evenings of radically open transdisciplinary experiments and collaborations at the interface between music, sound and poetry at silent green Kulturquartier’s event space Kuppelhalle (29.5. / 8.7. / 9.10. / 3.12.). As a meeting place for Berlin’s contemporary poetry and music scenes, Vocations offers an open space to up to twenty artists to perform at any one time, combining a wide variety of musical and vocal practices based on or rooted in poetry.
