Upcycling, Hobrechtstr. 54, 12047 Berlin | Free entry
Together we will upcycle old texts and create a textual sculpture. We will copy, print, cut, write, rewrite, paint, glue, weave and, somehow, make it all work – using materials found that day at UPCYCLING Neukölln. We will explore, experiment and discuss what upcycling means for the world and for poetry.
To participate, please bring a book, a magazine, a zine, a leaflet, an ad, text found on the internet, parts of your diary (to be shared!), your poems or shopping lists or any other text you find appealing.
*The title of the event is a line from Jackson Mac Low’s “Stein 100: A Feather Likeness of the Justice Chair”, which is an upcycling of Gertrude Stein’s “Tender Buttons”.
The workshop will be held in English.
