Bolte, Rike

Rike Bolte was Professor of Environmental Humanities and Escrituras Creativas at the Universidad del Norte (Colombia) from 2018 to 2023. She is the founder of the Latinale poetry festival, director of the teaching research project latinale.académica and translator from Spanish and French. For her research on poetics of contamination (CALAS 2022 scholarship) and her Spanish poetry, she received the CALAS 2022 scholarship and the Hessian Literature Council 2024 scholarship. Her poetry collections “Jacuzzi” in Mexico and “Twelve Monkeys” in Colombia will be published soon.

Two prominent Latin American poets from two generations. Although the poems of the Argentine María Negroni (born 1951 in Rosario) and Mexican Sara Uribe (born 1978 in Querétaro) differ greatly, they both pose similar questions: What does it mean to write a poem today? What means do we have to encounter words that always refer to a reality that has been fragile and deceptive for a long time?
