Taheri, Armeghan

Armeghan Taheri, lives in Berlin, is a writer, artist and editor. She is the founder of “Afghan Punk” – a multilingual community magazine that creatively connects struggles for liberation. In her texts, Armeghan Taheri works with continuities of violence, transformative approaches to justice, and the visualisation of anti-colonial feminist liberation struggles. Through stories of intimacy, love, isolation and sex, she deals with the consequences of political and social repression. Sometimes she is the knife, sometimes she is the wound. Her pen is indebted to all the murdered left-wing Afghan women poets and the women in her family. They saw that you can’t fix something that has a language, but by sewing it into your hands.
