Madara Gruntmane-Dujana
Madara Gruntmane-Dujana, born 1981 in Liepāja, Latvia, is a poet and interdisciplinary artist based in Riga. She holds a master's degree from the Art Academy of Latvia's POST program, which focuses on the idea of art in context. Since 2015, she has participated in numerous workshops, poetry readings, and international organizations, including the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program. Her recent poetry collections include “Aizmīlestība” (Afterlove, Riga: Neputns, 2022) and “Dzērājmeitiņa” (Drunk Daddy’s Girl, Riga: Neputns, 2018). Her awards include the 2019 Annual Public Broadcasting Culture Award and the 2016 Annual Latvian Literature Award (Reader's Choice Award).
