Lutz Seiler
Lutz Seiler, born in Gera in 1963, lives in Berlin and Stockholm. His debut novel "Kruso" was awarded the German Book Prize in 2014. The novel has been translated into 25 languages, adapted for the theatre and made into a film. Since 1997 he has directed the literary programme at the Peter-Huchel-Haus near Potsdam. His latest publication is the poetry collection " schrift für blinde riesen" ("script for blind giants" , Suhrkamp 2021). Lutz Seiler was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2024.
