Ilma Rakusa (*1946) studied Slavic and Romance languages and literature and lives in Zurich as an author, translator and literary critic. Her work includes poetry, short stories, essays and the memoir “Mehr Meer”. Her most recent books of poetry are “Kein Tag ohne” (Literaturverlag Droschl 2022) and “Frühling. Corona mit Hölderlin” (Edition Thanhäuser 2022) and the notebooks she edited by Marina Zwetajewa (Suhrkamp 2022). She has been honoured with the Swiss Book Prize, the Berlin Literature Prize and the Kleist Prize, among others, for her multifaceted work. She is a member of the German Academy for Language and Poetry.
