Oswald Egger, born in Lana, South Tyrol in 1963, lives and works at the Hombroich rocket station. He has published numerous volumes of poetry and prose, including “Nichts, das ist”, “Die ganze Zeit” and “Entweder ich habe die Fahrt am Mississippi nur geträumt, oder ich träume jetzt” (Suhrkamp Verlag 2001, 2010 and 2021). His prose and poems have been translated into several languages and have received numerous awards, most recently the Ernst Jandl Prize for Poetry in 2019. He has been Professor of Language and Form at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel since 2011. He received the Villa Massimo Fellowship in 2014 and the Robert Musil Fellowship in 2020.
