Anna Hetzer

Anna Hetzer (c) privat

Anna Hetzer was born in 1986 and lives in Berlin. She has published poetry and essays. Her most recent book is Kippbilder from Verlagshaus Berlin 2019. In 2017 she was a Fellow of the Villa Decius in Krakow and a finalist for the Meran Poetry Prize in 2018, the Ulla Hahn Prize in 2018 and the Literary March in 2021. She is a member of the poetry collective G13 and is also regularly involved in artistic collaborations.

Tolerance as well as intolerance of non-heteronormative sexualities and identities has been on the increase in recent years in Europe. While equal legal status for gay marriages has been successfully fought for in many countries, in others, such as Poland, the human rights of LGBT people are daily being violated and their freedom is increasingly being restricted.
