Ramina Abdulla-zadè, soprano, comes from Azerbaijan and initially studied with Anna Korondi at the Franz Liszt University of Music Weimar before transferring to the Berlin University of the Arts in 2012, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree. She successfully completed her master’s degree with Renate Faltin at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin in 2016 and then studied New Music/New Music Theatre at the HMDK Stuttgart with Angelika Luz and Georg Nigl. She made her debut at the Opéra de Reims in 2016 as Barbarina in “Le nozze di Figaro”. In the same year, she sang the role of Bagheera in the jazz opera “Das Dschungelbuch” [The Jungle Book] at Leipzig Opera. Ramina Abdulla-zadè performed Arnold Schönberg’s “Pierrot Lunaire” in Budapest under the direction of Peter Eötvös. She has also sung numerous world premieres, including the role of the puppet in the concert opera “Ovartaci” at the Berlin State Opera and the role of the Jewish partisan in “BORIS” at the Stuttgart State Opera. In 2021 Ramina Abdulla-zadè received a scholarship from the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg.
